What we build

Four service areas. All wholesale B2B.

01 SDWAN & Managed Services
SDWAN & Managed Services

Managing connectivity across many locations is a different problem.

A single-site connection is relatively simple to manage. When a business operates across dozens or hundreds of locations, the network becomes something else entirely — a critical dependency with real consequences when it fails.

Philcom designs, deploys, and manages SDWAN infrastructure for multi-site businesses. Traffic prioritisation, redundant paths, real-time monitoring, and a management layer that gives IT teams visibility without adding complexity.

The team that built the network is the same team watching it.

02 CDAS Indoor Coverage
CDAS Indoor Coverage

One installation. All networks.

Indoor signal in a large commercial property is harder to get right than it looks. Each carrier has its own equipment, its own preferences, and limited incentive to coordinate with the others. Properties often end up with uneven coverage and the headache of managing several different providers.

Philcom installs and operates carrier-neutral Distributed Antenna Systems — serving all major networks from a single infrastructure. The property makes one investment. All networks are covered. No one is left managing the gaps between carriers.

03 Open Access Fiber
Open Access Fiber

Fiber that works for the building — not just one provider.

When a property's fiber infrastructure belongs to a single telco, tenants don't have much of a choice. If the service isn't right, there's no alternative to push back with.

Philcom operates open-access fiber in commercial estates — neutral infrastructure that multiple carriers can use. Tenants get a genuine choice. Property owners get an asset that adds value as the estate grows. No one is locked in.

04 Smart City Software

In testing. More soon.

Most commercial properties already have cameras, sensors, and connected equipment installed. The data those systems generate often sits unused — not because it isn't useful, but because there's no software connecting it into something actionable.

Philcom is currently testing software that does exactly that — running on real Philcom-connected sites now, surfacing operational insights for property managers and retailers.

We'll share more when it's ready for general release.

About Philcom

A hundred years is a long time to be in one business.

About Philcom

Founded in 1924. Still here.

Philippine Global Communications, Inc. — PhilCom — was founded in 1924. That makes us one of the oldest licensed telecommunications operators in the country, and one of the few companies granted a nationwide franchise to operate data, voice, and value-added services anywhere in the Philippines.

We didn't start with fiber. We started as a communications company and grew into whatever the market needed — which, over a century, turned out to be quite a lot.

Today, Philcom's work spans the full range of enterprise connectivity: fiber optic network operation, wide-area data networks, and the local infrastructure that ties it all together — routers, switches, structured cabling, CCTV systems, and Wi-Fi access points.

We operate and manage the largest dense free Wi-Fi service in the Philippines, serving over 5 million customers daily across all SM Supermalls. We serve as system integrator and project manager for malls, hotels, BPO buildings, and the SM Group nationwide. We connect businesses through a fiber network ring in Metro Manila, with commercial coverage in key cities nationwide.

How we operate

We work the way the job requires.

Philcom is part of the SM Group — the same family that started with a single shoe store in Manila and built one of Southeast Asia's largest companies the same way: steadily, without shortcuts, and with the people around them in mind. That's the operating culture Philcom inherits. Not borrowed — shared.

Every engagement starts with understanding the actual problem — the environment, the load, the failure modes, and what good looks like before recommending anything. What we deploy, we manage. What we manage, we're accountable for.

We understand the problem first

Every engagement starts with a proper look at the actual situation — not matching a customer to the nearest product.

We manage what we build

Philcom doesn't hand over a system and move on. We retain operational accountability for what we deploy.

Then scale

Uptime. Coverage. Throughput. Recovery time. Those are the numbers that matter.

If you're an enterprise, a carrier, or a property owner — we're glad to hear what you're working on.

Let's talk →
How we work

How we work

Same approach, every time. It's kept things consistent for a long time.

The operating model

Four principles. Every engagement.

01

We understand the problem first

Every engagement starts with a proper look at the actual operational situation — the environment, the load, the stakeholders, the failure modes. We don't propose until we understand.

02

We build for real conditions

Whatever Philcom deploys gets tested under the conditions it will actually face. Peak traffic. Physical interference. Concurrent load. If it works in the field, we deploy it.

03

We manage what we build

Philcom does not hand over infrastructure and disappear. Our managed services model means we retain operational accountability for the systems we deploy. If it breaks, we fix it. If the business grows, we scale it.

04

We report on outcomes

Uptime. Coverage. Throughput. Recovery time. Those are the numbers we're measured on. The client knows what they're getting. We know what we're accountable for.

Want to talk about a specific infrastructure problem? We're straightforward to deal with.

Careers

We're a small team with a broad scope of work.

Philcom has been finding and solving infrastructure problems for a long time. The work isn't glamorous, but it's real — and the problems are usually ones that haven't been solved before in the Philippine context.

We don't post open roles. If the work sounds like something you want to be part of, tell us about yourself and what you do well. We'll take it from there.

Something is
already running.

Live deployment — select sites — Philippines

Commercial properties are full of data that never gets used. Cameras already on the walls. Sensors already collecting. Equipment already connected. The infrastructure exists. The software layer to make sense of it usually doesn't. Philcom is building that layer — and it's already running on live sites.

We're not announcing it yet. We want to get it right before we scale it. Leave your email if you'd like to hear when we go public.

What it runs on

Fiber already in the ground. Equipment already on the walls. No new hardware required at sites where Philcom infrastructure exists.

What it sees

Footfall patterns. Retail traffic flows. Estate-wide operational visibility. Real data from real commercial environments — not simulations.

When it launches

When it's ready.
